Oil Crisis and Debt Crisis
The first oil crisis was the Yom Kippur War in 1971 when the Arabs cut back on oil supply in order to force the Western countries to sympathize with the Arab cause. This led to the tripling of oil prices from $3 to $12 per barrel. The world was also undergoing an inflation rate of 8% which caused the impact to become greater. The import prices of non-oil producing countries increased from 6billion to 16billion dollars. Thus, the increased oil prices resulted in the 1974 to 1975 recession. This was followed by the second oil crisis which occurred in 1979 when Iranian oil workers decided to cut off all oil exports in order to dispose of the Shah. The decrease in oil was not substantial as OPEC supplied the oil needed. However, speculation and the perceived shortage of oil led to a large spike in oil prices and great instability in the oil industry. It was further exacerbated by the Iran-Iraq war which caused oil prices to rise to a high of $33 per barrel. US industries saw a 10% fall in output and global trade. This then led to the 1982 debt crisis where excessive borrowing by Third World Countries in the 1970s led to a greatly weakened world economy as they resulted in bad debts as these countries were unable to pay their debts. Mexico, Brazil and Argentina were the worst hit countries and owed thousands of billions to international organizations.

I naively thought that after dance night I'll be able to break to my heart's content and still maintain my current standard. I was so wrong.
Injuries. Never thought about how much it can impact a person until recently when I was met with an onslaught of injuries. Neck, toe, back, knee. You name it, I should have it, even if I don't have it, I should have seen it.
Now my knee's so painful that I can't kneel. And when I exert, it becomes numb.
There goes breaking to my heart's content.
I wish I was less prone to accidents.
I wish I was agile enough to pick up nice footwork.
But haiz.

When the seniors told us that we'd be crying this time because dance night is over, I didn't believe them. Or rather, I thought that I wouldn't cry. Now, there's a terrible ache in my heart, an empty void where MAD used to fill. Despite telling myself that I wouldn't cry because we should be happy that we churned out such a great performance and there's no regrets left, after seeing corpse and alan crying, tears just started pouring too.
Time flew so quickly. Fleeting, like a humming bird.
It has been almost 5 months since we started planning stage stuff for dance night, even though it only got hectic around 1.5months ago. It's been around 3.5months since we started learning all the choreos and 1 month since the first salt full run started.
We've come a long way to this standard where we rocked the stage and left the audie rockin'.
WE WERE SO AWESOME.
Fusion 1
It was a hasty decision to join fusion 1 but I've never regretted a moment of it. Love everyone in it! Really appreciate that they tried so hard to teach me and continued to believe in me even when I lost faith in myself. I had a lot of fun in there and I believe everyone else had the same amount of fun or maybe more.
Will miss all the late night practices when we stayed back so late that we were in risk of being locked in. Will always remember the full moon which we saw twice as an entire fusion one. Will always remember the spastic times we had together and the terrible guitar hero session which we had at sengyew's house.

Bboy Item
Another year without Felix. I was quite worried when I heard that Felix broke his leg and was not going to be with us anymore BUT thanks to SHENG, VERN and CONG, us j2s managed to pull through. WE WERE AWESOME. The choreos were awesome. No matter what people think, we've tried our best and we ROCK.

BBOY BOY's choreo was nice too!! Will miss all the times we spent in SALT, miss all the time that we spent pracing our choreos.
I know that I was super irritated at one point of time, irritated to the extent of cursing and swearing during the bboy item during full run. But it has changed. Dance night 2010 bboy item, Something Special is indeed something special.
And now it has become something special deep within my heart.
HEART
Fusion 2
This is the fusion that I was originally in. Somehow, I ended up being the only girl in a guys choreo. And our costumes ended up looking like something from Joyce and the Boys. Thus, with the appearance of a cap and the pokemon spoof, Ashlee and the Boys emerged from the depths of nothingness. LOL
Had lots of fun in fusion two, we were really quite slack but we worked when we were supposed to. Really want to apologize for that being there when I should be because I had to juggle but I really love everyone in fusion 2.
HEART
Transcendance really did transcend through boundaries.
Stage Comm
Jialing, Junan and Corpse were so super super super responsible and efficient so much so that most of the time there was nothing much to do. Cong is freaking dope. His trailers and linkers look exactly like professionally done videos. Especially the bboy part for the mad trailer. It's really freaking freaking nice.
I really HEART stage comm.
We did well this year. Ahead of time all the time! And even though everything seemed so unprepared during the first few runs and we were ultra worried that nothing would even pull through for dance night, we were proven wrong! Perhaps our constant hounding has instilled some sense of urgency in them. Although the lightings and linkers screwed up for certain items over the span of 3 days, we still did well!!

Backstage Crew
Zomg my favourite non-MAD people!
They are really good. There were only 4 people but they managed the backstage so well after the first audie run that little of us had any complaints about them. And they were SO CUTE, giving little words of encouragements and support to the dancers just before they enter the stage. Trying their best to manage everything backstage by themselves and doing an awesome job!
Without them, dance night would not have been so successful.
